Acceptable use
You may use ConvertAnyFile for lawful file conversion and image editing. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to process or modify the files you select and for complying with laws, licenses, platform rules, or contractual obligations that apply to those files.
Your files and outputs
The current local converters, including Subtitle Converter, and Image Tools do not intentionally take ownership of your source files or generated outputs. Processing creates new output copies and can alter compression, metadata, color representation, animation, transparency, table structure, line endings, field representation, archive metadata, subtitle styling, cue metadata, visible image pixels, or other format-specific properties.
Review important outputs before using them in production, archival, publishing, data-import, backup, deployment, captioning, or other workflows where fidelity matters. Keep the original source when loss of metadata, transparency, animation, schema details, data types, archive permissions, ownership, links, extended attributes, subtitle positioning, karaoke, styling, original pixels, or other format-specific features would be costly.
Image editing and visible marks
Image Tools that remove or repair a visible logo, watermark, badge, or selected region are destructive editing tools. Use them only on images you own or otherwise have the right or permission to modify. ConvertAnyFile does not grant rights to third-party images, logos, trademarks, or copyrighted material.
Visible-pixel editing does not guarantee removal of metadata, invisible watermarking, provenance systems, authenticity signals, Content Credentials, or other information outside the selected visible pixels. A repaired area may also contain visual artifacts, especially around text, faces, hair, sharp edges, or complex textures.
Availability and supported formats
The site may change supported formats, editing modes, batch limits, runtime libraries, or browser requirements as the platform evolves. A file extension listed by the interface does not guarantee that every damaged, unusual, encrypted, or nonconforming variation can be processed successfully. New or recently released categories may change more quickly while their parser, output, compatibility, and browser behavior are being validated.
Browser-first processing depends on the device, browser, available memory, and the category engine. Image support can depend on runtime codecs. Structured Data follows documented deterministic conversion rules rather than custom schemas or ETL mappings. Archive support depends on container integrity, supported compression features, safe paths, browser expansion limits, and metadata representable in the target archive. Subtitle support depends on valid timed-text structure, supported text encoding, and what the target subtitle format can represent.
No guarantee of perfect processing
File formats and image content are complex. Some files may be damaged, use unusual codec variants or encodings, exceed browser memory, contain password protection, or include features that the target format cannot represent. A failed or imperfect result is possible.
Image conversion or repair is not restoration, upscaling, archival verification, forensic recovery, or a guarantee of seamless inpainting. Structured-data conversion is not schema validation, database migration, formula execution, type inference, or business-rule transformation. Archive conversion is not backup verification and does not promise preservation of symbolic links, hard links, ownership IDs, ACLs, extended attributes, sparse-file metadata, or vendor-specific metadata. Subtitle conversion is not OCR, speech-to-text, translation, automatic synchronization, or video embedding, and simpler outputs do not preserve every ASS/SSA or WebVTT presentation feature.
Liability
Use the service at your own discretion and keep backups of important originals. ConvertAnyFile is not intended to replace professional archival, forensic, medical, legal, financial, engineering, regulated-data, or other high-stakes processing systems where independent validation is required.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the platform expands. Continued use after changes means you are using the service under the current published terms.
